Michelle Miller, Legal Assistant To Steve Wittmer & Litigation Paralegal
Michelle Miller lived in several states when she was young, but spent the majority of her youth in California, just outside of Los Angeles. There, she attended Los Angeles Valley College and California State University, pursuing degrees in Marketing and Business. She graduated from Catherine College with a degree in paralegal studies in 1990. Upon graduation, Michelle worked for several law firms in the LA area as a workers’ compensation paralegal.
In 1996, Michelle met her future husband and relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada. In Las Vegas, she worked for several law firms, including Johnnie Cochran’s Las Vegas firm, as a litigation paralegal for personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Seeking to raise their young daughter outside the hustle and bustle of the Las Vegas Strip, Michelle and her husband, Rick, decided to pack up and move to Sarasota, Florida, in 2005.
Michelle joined our firm in 2005 as Mr. Wittmer’s legal assistant. She handles all of Mr. Wittmer’s personal injury cases from intake through litigation. Additionally, she handles all of the estate litigation files. In 2017, Michelle became the firm’s litigation paralegal, handling all litigated files for both Mr. Wittmer and Mr. Linehan. She spends the majority of her time working on the litigated files for both attorneys, communicating with the attorneys for the insurance companies, scheduling hearings and depositions, and preparing the cases for trial. Additionally, she communicates with clients, requests medical records, prepares demand letters and maintains Mr. Wittmer’s schedule.
Michelle and Rick have one daughter, Richelle, who recently graduated from Riverview High School. They enjoy working out and swimming at the YMCA as well as spending time with Michelle’s family who reside in the Nokomis area.
